ARTIST STATEMENT |
Originally from Riedlingsdorf Austria I now call Calgary Alberta home! The city's proximity to the mountains and the wide open spaces of the prairie make this a desirable place to live. I am employed by the Alberta College of Art and Design as Educational Art Technician for the Jewelry/Metals Department.
My work with Niobium and Titanium began in 1984 at the California College of Art and Design in Oakland. During the 1980s' my focus was on producing fashion jewelry combining silver with niobium and titanium. In the early 1990s' the work began to change from a jewelry format to sculpture.
