Business Name - RKS Designs RKS Designs was established in 1997, focusing on custom designed and art jewelry. Russell cuts and carves most of the stones used in the pieces, emphasizing their natural lines and form. He especially enjoys working with opals. The gold and silver settings are hand fabricated and designed to accent the intrinsic beauty of the materials used. Russell studied studio arts with an emphasis on jewelry at the University of Wisconsin and more recently became intrigued with lapidary arts. He is a member of the Society of North American Goldsmiths, the New Mexico Metalsmiths' Association, the American Opal Society, and the New Mexico Facetor's Guild. He is associate member of the New Mexico Jeweler's Association. |
